Your estimated minimum and maximum amounts
Each year, your monthly or annual VB payment withdrawal must fall within the minimum and maximum amounts that apply to your account.
- Minimum withdrawal: Your minimum is based on either your age or your spouse's age, depending on the option you selected when you set up your VB Account. Minimum withdrawals are required beginning in the year you turn 72. Before then, no minimum applies.
- Maximum withdrawal: Your maximum is based on your age and applies only to the locked-in portion of your VB Account. You cannot withdraw more than the calculated maximum from your locked-in funds each year.
